Green Way Organization

GWO Background:

Green Way Organization (GWO) as a nongovernmental Afghan National & Humanitarian Women NGO established in year 2003 by a number of Afghan Women in Kabul City and is registered to the ministry of economy in the aim of assisting and empowering the poor Afghan communities especially to help the deprived women to become self-reliant and participate in social works in the isolated and rural areas of Afghanistan as well as enable poor women and widows to access permanent income resources for making their family incomes.

GWO as a local NGO having enough information regarding the social, economic and geographical condition of central parts of Afghanistan, has selected this region as its main target area for implementation of short and long term programs in different sectors. Moreover, GWO beside its main office in Kabul City has a regional office in Nil City & sub-offices in Sharistan District as well as Ashtarlai district of Daikundi Province for operation of its humanitarian programs.

GWO since year 2003 has built up its own implementing capabilities in various fields, as Education/Literacy, Vocational Programs, civic education and social awareness for poor and deprived communities who are the deprived and vulnerable part of Afghan society.
